Club ID

They ran through me, my memories ... The horrible memories of the past. Pit spiders crawled over my body and feasted on my flesh. Memories of guilt and shame dripped from their fangs like drool, which they used to infect me with the horrible feelings.

My body went limp from the venom that was injected into my veins. I couldn't breathe ... I couldn't feel. I was numb and my blood ran cold. I cried, I moaned and felt like dying. My hat was eaten by those damn creatures; my tie was fought over and finally consumed by the victor. I felt them, I felt their furry little bodies, crawl over me trying to find a place that had not been eaten yet.

In the past, I would have just let the spiders eat me alive. Once they were through with me, I was picked up by one of the people that inhabited the city called my brain. After awhile, I would have regained strength just long enough for one of those demons to rule over me once more. Sometimes it was nice for those spiders to pick at my pale flesh; the memories were much more less stressful than dealing with the false Night Author and his "plans" for my life.

Tongue numb from venom and throat feeling like wood, I tried to call out the name once more. "Abba ... Help ... I am in need ... I am being torn to pieces by depression ... Abba ... Can you hear me?"

The final bite came from one of the fat ones. His venom caused a memory of my youth when I spent time with my father. I struggled with fixing my motorcycle, one that he gave to me. As I struggled with the machine, my father stood in the background with some of his friends. They were laughing at me. I desperatly wanted to prove how much of a man I was, but no matter what I did, the bike wouldn't start. My father continued to laugh at me and coax the others to do the same.

"Just give up." The false Night said in my mind. "We look stupid." In the past, the false Night Author acted to have my best intentions in mind, but would quickly sound off with something negative. "They hate us because we are useless. You are useless. Just give up."

I felt my arms fill with the energy like before. My body started to let out bright streams of yellow lightening and my skin glowed with a powerful yellow light.

The spiders crawled way from me, red eyes shivering with fear from the light.

My body grew larger and larger as the light shined from my body.

"Not today! I won't give up today!" I said in a loud booming voice. I reached the height of the pit ceiling and pointed to the spiders trying to run away from me. "You eight legged freaks! How dare you take advantage of a lost soul?!" I stomped on one and then another. "You feast and prey on my spirit as though it was Christmas ham, but I promise you this piggy will fight back!"

I stomped, smashed and squashed all the spiders in my path. I cursed and spoke in the name of the Word. "My heavenly father will not allow you to prey on his child! You are nothing but a bunch of horrors in the pit of my mind!"

I grew larger and larger still. The light that beamed off my body recreated my suit and hat. I held up my hands and smashed through the ceiling. "I am The Night Author! I am Ray Homan, The Night Author! I will not give up and I will not stop! I will not hide away from this battle!" I grew taller, larger. I only stopped growing until my head touched the yellow clouds that hung over the spot I created for Red. I stepped out of the hole and let my body shrink to normal size. The yellow glow left my body and I dusted off the shoulders of my duster.

"Well now," I said with relief, "I feel so much better." I glanced around to see if Red was in the area. To my surprise, she was not. I turned to face her cabin. I formed my hand into a gun; pointing my index finger at the cabin and holding my thumb up. "If you honestly believe that I will allow you to do this to me, honey, we have to talk." A beam of energy shot from the tip of my pointing index finger and fired at the cabin, like one of those lasor guns you see in sci-fi flicks.

The cabin split down the middle and opened up; the walls flattened and trees grew out of it.

I pulled my hand gun to my lips and blew on the finger. "If any of you think that you can take over my mind again ... You are so wrong." I said outloud to myself.

I lifted my sneaker coated right foot into the air and slammed it down into the ground. As I did, a yellow tree popped up out of the ground and sprouted black leaves. After the first one, many rows of similiar trees emerged, each with yellow bark and black leaves. I watched at the haven I created for Red and myself transformed into a wooded area filled with yellow and black trees. Black vines connected the trees together and from their buds sprouted written pages filled with my stories of love and passion.

I pulled my foot out of the ground, dusted it off, and took off into the sky like a bullet released from a gun. The faster I flew, a layer of yellow light flowed around me. My duster flaped along with my tie. My body quickly disolved into a steam of yellow energy before I landed on the concrete sidewalk, where I first ran into Red. The ground cracked to my presence and the "Johns" and prostitues of my distorted mind stared at me in confusion.

With a smirk of fury, I pulled out my e-cig and took in a drag. As I blew out a large cloud of vapor, the vapor changed from white to a bright yellow. "Find Red." I said to the cloud hovering next to me. Then, leading the way like a string, the vapor stretched out and rounded the block.

I puffed on my e-cig device as I followed the yellow vapor with an angry stomp in my step. How dare another demon enter my mind? I thought over the memories of the time I shared with Red in that cabin; I kept trying to find the source of her creation, but there was none. The only conculsion I could come back to was the evidence I saw in her red eyes, she was not my creation but a demon that slithered her way into my mind and distracted me. With those memories, a fear began to seep into my mind; how many demons were there? Four? Ten? Thousands? Yet, no matter how much I wanted to ponder on the number of demons that slipped into my mind, I kept my attention on the task at hand: Getting rid of Red.

Granted, I had no knowledge of how to kill a demon, but if I was going to try to find out, she was going to be my first. If there was not going to be any good result out of my conflict with Red, the very least I could do was let her know who was in control.

The end of the vapor trail stopped at the metalic door that sat in the middle of a brick wall. The door was triangle in shape, pointed end facing down and was made of some type of grey sheet metal. It was poorly designed on purpose. I stared at the door as the vapor to my right dissolved. I searched my memories to see if I had seen this door before, or created it for some reason, yet I could not find any answer. This was a new door to me. The question was not where did this door come from, but what lay behind it; that question was the lead to a great fear.

Around my head, small yellow numbers and letters emerged out of my thinking process: Red = Demonic Seductress / Odd Sheet Metal Door + Unknown = DANGER!

I waved my hand through the floating letters and they fluttered like butterflies. Who was I to be afraid of? Who was I to fear? The answer was, a demon that could stir me enough and distract me enough that I could loose control. Even with the little control I had at the moment, I would not be a match for something like Red.

I stepped forward with stupidity and tapped on the metal door, which bounced and banged from my touch. I took a puff from my e-cig and tucked it away into my coat pocket.

The door opened into a dark abyss covered in a cloud of cigarette smoke and green lazar lights. The sound of cyber punk goth music flew out of the clouds of smoke and pounded on my ear drums. The cigarette smoke surrounded me and in cased me into a coccon of the awful tobacco smell. Without knowing it, I was pulled, coughing my lungs out, into the area behind the door.

Once I heard the door slam shut, the smoke released its grip from me and I stood in a club. I coughed and sniffed as my eyes watered.

The club was painted all black, including torn black leather furniture. In the center of the club sat a round table with a hallow center; in the center stood two men, twin like in nature. Both wore long leather coats that buttoned up to their long necks; one wore black and the other wore white. Their heads were shaved bald and heavy eyeliner sat on their eyes; the black wore white eyeliner and the white wore black eyeliner. These twins were connected at the hip, but their backs faced each other. Using their only pair of legs, the conjoined twins reached out with their long arms to the turn tables that sat around the table.

Over head in the club sat spinning lazer lights that beamed yellow, green and red lights. To each side of the room sat long bar tops, also painted black.

Next to the horrid music playing around me, there was another terror that reached my senses once my eyes became clear. The patrons of this club were dressed in all black leather, but in different mixed outfits; some in long coats where as others in thin lines of clothing. Their skin was almost the same texture as a white dolphin and, even though some had long black hair, their faces were gone! Like perfect white manicans made of dolphin skin! These horrible creatures moved slowly, danced in unison.

As I moved closer into the club, I noticed that these creatures were not just dancing. Some were cutting into their arms with straight razors, allowing black blood to ooze out of their skin. Others pulled out syringes filled with strange glowing orange liquid only to inject it into their pale necks. I saw one pulling food out of a trash bag and smearing it all over his clean face. Every so often, and I hesitate to continue this last portion, but the patrons would lower their pants to insert "themselves" into the other.

This was too much for me to bare. Everywhere I would turn, there would be these creatures conducting in strange sexual movements, cutting themselves as they did and rubbing their awful faces into the black blood.

"What is this?" I asked myself. "Hell?!"

One of the female creatures grabbed me, slid down my body and rubbed her face on my crotch!

I shoved her away. "BE GONE YOU HIDEOUS CREATURE!"

It wasn't enough, because she crawled back to me like I was a life source and tried to rip off my pants! I kicked her away and ran to the side of the dance floor. It was not unil I rounded the sid of the dance floor until I noticed a platform behind the circle table that the twins stood in. This small round platform sat above the ground and in the center sat a golden throne made of knives, sexual toys and smoking cigarettes.

There, sitting on the throne was a skeleton dressed in all leather and pair of eighties sunglasses covered his hollowed eyes. I moved closer to inspect this strange scene. I looked over the dust covered dead man and tried to piece together any memory I had about him. There was something familiar about the throne and biker wear the man wore.

"Recognize him?" Asked Red, who apparently was following me.

I turned around softly, trying to avoid any conflict. "No." I said with a smirk.

Red walked around me and stood behind the throne like chair. I turned to watch every move the witch made.

"You two probably didn't know each other when he was alive. Like like the Egos and the Super knew you." Red said.

I kept my eyes on her. "It doesn't matter who he is, because he isn't the reason why I am here."

Red gave a chuckle. "I know I know." She pulled a lit cigarette from the chair and placed it into her red lips. "You are here for me."

I watched as she puffed from the cigarette. "Yeah, sweety, I am." I pointed an authorative finger at her. "It is time for you to be gone, witch!"

Suddenly, the music stopped. I turned to see the crowd, the twins and the bartenders frozen and looking at me with their blank faces.

Red gave a chuckle. "Now why would you want to get rid of me? Why would you want your id to leave?"

Even though I was stunned by the frozen creatures that stared at me with blank white faces, I gave a glance over my shoulder. "You ... Id?"

Red slowly walked over to me and wrapped her arms around my waist as she stood behind me. She placed her chin on my right shoulder. "Well ... He was your id for the longest of time, but I drained him dry." She licked her red lips. "He was yummy."

"You drained the id?" I asked in a confused, shocked state.

Red gave a laugh. "I had to ... You weren't much to feed off of. While the other you and you were busy working to change this place, I had to get food somewhere. I couldn't catch the Super and the Egos weren't worth the fight. The id loved me being around and he loved to party."

I looked at the club of horrible creatures with a curl to my upper lip. "This is club id? This is my pleasure center? I thought it was more colorful than this?"

"It was, baby." Red said, playing with my tie. "Very colorful, if I remember correctly, but you started to find love in violence, strange sexual encounters and music that held more meaning than the Christian genre you loved as a child. You, honey, grew up."

I watched in horror as the creatures slowly walked towards us.

"I don't know what happened to you out in the woods, Ray Ray, but I want you to feel the seduction. Feel the passion. Feel the addiction." Red said before licking my right ear and whispered. "I want you to feel pleasure."

As they moved closer, the creatures began to remove their clothing. I felt Red start to unbuckle my belt.

Yes, I know this sounds weird and I know that I should continue with that I fought back, but for some reason I felt compelled to give in. My vision blurred for a moment and I felt all warm and fuzzy.

As the creatures neared me and as Red slipped my belt out of my pant loops, I saw this large bumble bee fly up to my nose. It landed right on the ridge of my nose and I crossed my eyes to see that it was wearing a small black fedora and a pair of eighties glasses like I was.

"What the hell are you doing?" The bee asked me.

"Who ... Are ... You?" I asked in a slurred state.

"Does it matter?! Dude, what are you doing?"

Yeah, what was I doing?

The bee held up two of its legs in wonder. "I saw you flying around, taking care of business and creating a better world."

"Are you common sense?" I asked the bee, who seemed to be ignoring me.

"Get back to work!" He demanded, pointing at me and fluttering his wings.

"But it feels so good." I said, drooling.

The bee gave a scoff. "Alright ... I will help you out, even if it means I die. I can't see you go out like this." He aimed his large stinger and stuck it into the ridge of my nose. Within a flash, the bee lost his color into grey, shrunk and then disappeared.

I felt a surge of pain fill my body and I was awaken from my dream like state to a herd of those awful, now nude, creatures walking up to me! My nose began to swell and grow. Using the large nose, I turned around and smacked Red right in the face.

She held her cheek as she stumbled backwards.

In a nasally heavy voice, I let out a chuckle. "This isn't going to happen, Red my dear."

Red scoffed and rubbed her cheek as her eyes glowed with fire.

My nose filled with the venom from the bee's stinger. I turned and held out my hands to the zombie like crowd. "Alright alright, enough of this! I don't know what you are and what you plan to do, but this club is shutting down right now!"

The herd kept their stride, running their hands over their bodies.

I felt a sting of pain in my nostrils and knew that a sneeze was coming on. "Stop that ..." I stammered, feeling my eyes fill with water from the powerful sneeze that was coming on. Using all my strength to lean back just enough to lift the still growing nose up, I let out a loud and heavy sneeze. "A-CHOOO!"

Even though I hated those creatures, and even though the sneeze felt good, I felt a twitch of pain as I let out a large glob of snot on a woman creature in front of me. The ... I hate to use the word snot, that flew out of my nose was oddly colored, almost rainbow like. The colors were bright and strong. As I finished the sneeze, my large nose shrunk down to normal, stubby, size. All that was left after the aftermath of that large sneeze was a multicolored snot covered creature woman frozen with her arms covering her chest.

I rubbed my nose and adjusted my glasses. "Sorry." I apologized.

The ooze did stop that one creature, but it didn't stop the others. They piled on me and within moments I was base in a giant orgy session. I wanted to vomit.

"Get off me!" I screamed as I felt the herd hump me at the same time.

The creature, covered in my multicolored snot, began to act strangely. As the ooze ran off her body, I took notice, through a little gap in the white orgy, that her skin started to take on the color of a bright pink. A heavy black outline ran across the outside of her frame and her once straight black hair became brown with heavy curls. I watched as the white, blank frame fade away into a short, plump, cartoon woman! She looked to be about fifteen years old with large blue eyes, heavy freckles and heavy curly hair. Clothing started to appear; a white t-shirt hidden under a pair of blue jean cover-alls. She placed her chubby hands on her hips and shook her Disney like head with shame.

"That ther is a darn shame." She said in a heavy southern accent.

At the very moment, I was under a herd of manikin humping and strange music, yet even then, I was amazed by the cartoon figure that stood in the place of that strange woman creature.

She bent down and scooped up some of my ... *ahem* snot and ran over to the twin djs. Then, with a child like chuckle, the young girl threw the glob on the twins.

Just like before, the snot covered the two figures and suddenly transformed them into two cartoons; one dressed in a bright yellow zoot suit with large shoulders and the other in an orange tuxedo with round specs. The orange man's skin turned brown while the other's turned bright tan, his eyes squinted into straight lines. Once the transformation was complete, they separated from the hips and jumped into the air with large smiles; joy covered their faces as they landed back down.

The man in the orange tuxedo started to sing with a strange robotic voice. "I've been locked away in a horrible dream; been trapped in a horrible part of a terrible team."

The man in the large yellow hat and yellow zoot suit started play a beat on the turn table in front of him while singing in a high pitch voice: "Started as a pure man, loved like a manikin, but now times are going to change ...."

Then a fast beat came from the heavy speakers that sat around the hallowed table. As the beat grew heavier and faster, strange rainbow ooze began to pour out of the speakers and ran onto the floor. This ooze ran up everything, the walls, the ceiling and even the bartops. I watched as the ooze ran over myself and the humping herd. I closed my eyes and held my breath as I was drowned in the strange rainbow.

As soon as I was pulled into the ooze, I felt free from it and the herd as well. I opened my mouth to take in a gasp and opened my eyes and ... What I saw ...

The room was larger and looked like a cartoon version of some kind of club that would existed in the early fifties. White pearl like walls with lights that eliminated the room with a blue tint. Statues protruded from the walls in the form of yours truly, dressed in different outfits and positioned in different ways.

In the center of the room sat a giant water fall, the yellow marble base of this water fall was in the shape of my logo with yellow lights shining through the water.

Everyone was a cartoon, everything was cartoon like ... Even me. I stared at my hands to see that they had transformed into a three finger palm with a heavy chubby look. I pushed myself off the ground and noticed that I was in the middle of a pearl like stage. In the center of the stage stood a single metal microphone and behind me was an orchestra of cartoon men and women dressed in yellow and black along with black fedoras and black sunshades. A band leader, dressed in the same attire, waved a wand in front of the group as they played a light jazz music.

I looked around and saw many cartoon characters, each different in size and style. I felt like I had stumbled into a cartoon mixed with both edgy adult cartoons and Disney like cartoons.

I dusted off my long coat and shook my head. "Strange turn of events."

Suddenly, I was squished between the man in the orange suit and the man in the yellow zoot suit.

"We missed you, man." Said the man in the zoot suit.

"Ditto to that." Hummed the electronic voice of the man in the orange suit.

I tried to speak, but my face was smushed too much to where only mumbles escaped my cartoon mouth.

The two moved around me and took both my hands in a shake. The shake was so hard, my body bounced up and down. "Who ... Are ... Are ... You ...?" I asked in a stammer as my mouth slammed against itself.

The two djs stopped shaking my hands and released me from the vibration to stand side by side; with their large cartoon thumbs, the two pointed to the other's chest.

"He is Jimmy." The man in the yellow zoot suit introduced the orange man.

"He is Jack." The electronic voice speaking man said, introducing the man in the zoot suit.

With a nod, the two crossed their arms over the other's shoulder and smiled at me.

My glasses sat crooked on my face, but I tipped the front of my hat to them and adjusted my glasses. "I am Ray."

With a fluid movement, the yellow zoot suit man, the one called Jack, leaned right into my face. I leaned back from the movement with a grin.

"You mean The Night Author." He said with a sparkle on his cartoon white teeth.

I shrugged. "The other one."

"The beeetttterrr one." Sang the orange wearing Jimmy.

"The dead one!" Screamed Red from behind me.

I turned and both I and Jimmy and Jack stood together, staring at the realistic Red. Her eyes glowed with a passionate fire red and her sharp snake like teeth snarled at us.

"You little worm!" She shrilled. "I will kill you and eat your bones!"

I slowly walked back into the two men.

"She is going to drain us." Said Jack.

"Like the id." Sand Jimmy.

"Chill guys." I said, trying to sound confident. "This witch is in my play ground now." I slowly lifted my right hand and snapped my fingers.

Suddenly, a black hole emerged just under Red and sucked her inside!

I clapped my hands and the hole closed. I stared at my hands in shock. "Did not know I could do that."

Red was gone, but not for good. She was still out there and at that time I had little knowledge of why letting her go was going to start a hell storm in my mind.
